What do you like most about being a therapist?

Being a therapist is deeply rewarding because it allows me to witness the resilience and strength within individuals. What I cherish most is creating a supportive environment where clients feel heard and understood. The satisfaction comes from guiding people through their challenges, helping them discover their inherent capabilities to overcome obstacles. My passion for making a difference in the lives of others is the driving force behind my work. It’s a privilege to facilitate and empower individuals to lead more fulfilling lives. The diversity of human experiences is something I find endlessly fascinating, and being a therapist enables me to contribute to the well-being of others on a profound level.

What are some ways you take care of your mental health?

Prioritizing my mental health is very important to me. Some ways I feel that are needed professionally is regular self-reflection and seeking supervision as a crucial aspect, providing an external perspective that enhances my skills and prevents burnout. Personally, I engage in activities like mindfulness, music, and maintaining a strong support system. Spending time with loved ones and being outside is so beneficial for myself. Recognizing the interconnectedness of mental, emotional and physical well-being is why I find prioritizing self-care so important in my daily life.
