Life’s journey often brings challenges that can weigh heavily on our hearts and minds. My approach is rooted in helping you explore the parts of yourself that may carry feelings of injustice, betrayal, grief, loss, or other difficult emotions. Life often presents us with experiences that are layered and challenging to make sense of. Each client I work with is a unique vessel of thoughts, memories, and perspectives. While experiences may sometimes seem similar, my role is to help uncover what is truly meaningful to you and guide you through steps shaped by your own perspective. There is no one else like you which makes therapy a deeply personal and collaborative process of understanding the self and aligning with what truly matters to you.
I adapt my approach to each client’s strengths, areas for growth, and pace. No two sessions are ever the same. Together, we can explore your story, uncover your strengths, and navigate your burdens in a way that fosters clarity, resilience, and self-understanding. My priority is to create a therapeutic space where you can find relief and a sense of refuge, a place to sort through what you wish to carry forward and what you are ready to set down.
Here’s what you can expect in our work together:
- Narrative therapy to help you make sense of your experiences and identify what feels intrinsically valuable and aligned with you.
- Psychodynamic exploration to uncover how past experiences may be influencing you today, combined with an Internal Family Systems approach to deepen understanding of your inner world.
- Socratic questioning and strengths-based work to highlight and build on your existing abilities.
- Solution-focused strategies, reframing techniques, and CBT tools to support you in moving toward your goals.
- Ongoing development of a strong therapeutic relationship to support you through life’s transitions.

What is it like working with you?
Working with me looks like an accountable and collaborative space where communication, compassion and understanding will always be met. My priority is to support you during this phase and offer the necessary support towards attaining your goals. My practice promotes self-embracement and compassionate understanding using a culturally-responsive framework that aligns with your experiences. My approach, combining genuine regard, empathy and curiosity, involves posing questions that help you get closer to your goals. These questions are meant to explore your beliefs and narratives, identify patterns, understand underlying emotions more thoroughly and identify your strengths. Therapy can be a difficult place where long-held emotions and new reflections may arise. I understand how difficult it can be to process these moments and your safety and well-being will always be prioritized throughout this journey.
What do you like most about being a therapist?
What I like most about being a therapist is the honour of learning about your life story, revelations, and successes. What I like most about being a therapist is the pleasure of collaborating with individuals from different life histories, stories, and backgrounds as I admire the beauty in each individual's lived experience. I value being part of a place where connectivity, empathy, expression, and positive regard allow others to find solace.
What are some ways you take care of your mental health?
I find rejuvenation in creativity and expression through various mediums, including writing, movement, and art therapy such as painting. I prioritize slowness whenever possible, in reminding myself of the power in the small stuff— pouring morning coffee, breaths of fresh air— that position my frame of mind, even for moments at a time throughout the day. I prioritize balancing independent time of quietness, self-exploration and interests with the presence of loved ones and embracing the joy of community. By prioritizing my well-being through these mediums, it ensures I am the best advocate for my clients.
