About

Hello, my name is Ali!

You are likely here because you are in a season of your life where things aren't going the way you expected, you are feeling overwhelmed or you simply feel unsure about how to move forward. I want to assure you that you don't have to walk this alone and you absolutely deserve high-quality support that is going to help you find your way during this time.First and foremost, I believe that feeling connected to your therapist is one of the most important parts of therapy. In our sessions you will feel empowered, seen, and understood. Every emotion, even the tough ones, deserves room to be felt and processed. Rather than avoiding them, we’ll work through these feelings together and create space for growth and healing.

As a therapist, I have experience working with children, youth, and adults navigating challenges related to Borderline Personality Disorder, addictions and behaviour change, trauma, and grief. Together, we’ll make sense of difficult emotions, explore what truly matters to you, and help you move toward becoming the best version of yourself.

I take a holistic approach to therapy, because I believe there's no single path that works for everyone. I'm passionate about getting to know you as a whole person: your story, your strengths, and what you're working toward. This way, we can figure out together what actually works for you. Every aspect of your life matters, and every approach we take will be tailored specifically to who you are and what you need.

Q&A with Ali Muhammad

What is it like working with you?

When you work with me, you can expect a space that feels genuinely safe, somewhere you can show up as your full, authentic self without fear of judgment. I want you to feel comfortable, valued, and truly heard from the moment we start working together. That means open, honest communication, real listening, and a collaborative approach where your goals always lead the way. At the heart of it all, I want us to build a relationship built on trust as that's where real, lasting change begins. I know what it's like being on the other end of therapy so I do not take anyone’s vulnerability for granted.

What do you like most about being a therapist?

What I enjoy most about being a therapist is the opportunity to be a part of people’s journeys to creating a life worth living. It is truly a privilege to be trusted with someone’s most intimate thoughts, to watch them overcome obstacles, grow from them, and build fulfilling lives.

What are some ways you take care of your mental health?

To take care of my mental health, I think it’s really important to engage in activities that bring me joy and grounding energy. To name a few, I enjoy rock climbing, exploring hiking trails, jiu-jitsu and improv.
