"Resiliency doesn’t feel like strength when you’re experiencing it." This saying has always resonated deeply with me, because I understand how heavy life can feel when you’re in the midst of hardship. Taking the first step to seek therapy can be one of the hardest things to do, and I want you to know that you don’t have to walk this path alone.

My name is Dhalia and I have always felt a strong calling to the helping profession. I hold a degree in Psychology and Sexuality Studies from Western University and recently completed my MACP. Over the years, I’ve built a strong foundation in mental health work, while also engaging in continuing education and advocacy in the field of sexualities. This commitment to ongoing learning allows me to bring fresh, evidence-based perspectives to my practice and to ensure my clients always receive the highest standard of care.

As a therapist, I strive to be warm, approachable, and deeply attuned to the needs of each person I work with. My clients often describe me as compassionate and easy to connect with, yet also skilled at gently challenging them to uncover patterns, build insight, and move toward lasting change. I take pride in being able to hold a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore even the most vulnerable parts of themselves.

I work with both individuals and couples, helping them navigate a wide range of concerns, always tailored to your therapeutic goals making my approach collaborative and client-centered. I see therapy as a partnership, and I will meet you exactly where you are while helping you move toward where you want to be.

What makes me passionate about this work is witnessing the growth and healing that can happen when people feel truly understood. No matter what you’re facing, I believe you have the capacity to write your own story and create meaningful change. My role is to walk alongside you, offering support, perspective, and tools to help you reconnect with your strengths and values.

Q&A with Dhalia Steinitz

What is it like working with you?

Working with me means stepping into a space where you are genuinely heard, supported, and respected. I take a calm, grounded approach and work hard to ensure you feel safe enough to be your full self—whether that means sharing openly for the first time, sitting with difficult emotions, or exploring parts of your identity that have felt overlooked or misunderstood. I bring both deep compassion and clinical insight to each session, combining evidence-based strategies with a strong intuitive sense of what each client needs in the moment. My clients often tell me they appreciate how I balance empathy with gentle challenge, helping them grow while never pushing them before they’re ready. You can expect me to show up fully, walk beside you at your pace, and bring a thoughtful, informed presence to every step of your journey.

What do you like most about being a therapist

What I love most about being a therapist is witnessing those quiet, powerful moments when someone begins to see themselves with more compassion and clarity. It’s incredibly meaningful to be part of someone’s healing process—to help them reconnect with their inner strength, build healthier relationships, and create space for real, lasting change. Being able to hold space for that kind of transformation is something I never take for granted.

What are some ways you take care of your mental health?

Taking care of my own mental health is something I prioritize every day, both for myself and so I can show up fully for the people I work with. I make it a point to move my body daily—whether it’s walking, working out, or just being outside—and I stay grounded by spending quality time with the people I love, who fuel my spirit and help me recharge. These routines keep me connected, balanced, and present in both my personal life and my work as a therapist.
