In moments of transition, we must often choose the unknown. It takes courage to lead ourselves towards growth and healing, especially when we have lost connections along the way. This dedication to becoming ourselves more fully deepens our presence, while also nourishing our past future ecosystems. Together, we can co-create respectful and trusting relationships and foster a planet anchored in connection, integrity, compassion, and joy.
For twenty years, I have supported children, youth, couples and families. I am passionate about collaboratively building resilience across developmental life stages. I hold a unique lens, as I care daily for my medically complex child and their sibling. I am privileged to hold a B.A. in Child and Youth Care Counselling (2010), and a Certified Member of the Ontario Association of Child and Youth Care
I am a French Irish settler in Treaty 13 territory, in Tkaronto (Toronto) I acknowledge many First Nations, Métis and Inuit communities that have held relationships with these lands since time immemorial. I am a life-longer learner of cultural humility and practicing Violence and Trauma Informed Care. I am a health equity advocate for siblings, patients, and family caregivers within the medical, developmental, and community care.

Q&A with
Renée Charette
What is it like working with you?
Sitting together with authenticity and humility is a powerful experience. We can move through emotions together while you lead the pace and intentions of the time together. I welcome your direction and bring compassion to the process. I am open to learning who I am becoming as we hold a mirror to your world.
What do you like most about being a therapist?
I am growing as much as my clients are in each experience. Together we are discovering nuances in human experience that can transform our ways of understanding life and death. This is profound and I treat it with great respect in my heart. I trust in the rupture and repair cycle which carries in it hope.
What are some ways you take care of your mental health?
My practices include sunrise and sunset meditation, movement, play, and outdoor adventures alone and with loves ones. I am curious and determined, even in my protective responses as much as I can. I foster healthy and meaningful relationships with myself, with others, and with nature's life energy itself.
